Fitness and nutrition have always been passions of mine, but when I ruptured a disc in my spine during a heavy workout, I thought I’d have to leave it all behind. My spine became impinged so severely that I could barely pick up a water bottle. I underwent spinal fusion surgery, which I’m forever grateful for doing. However, during my recovery, I lost all the muscle I had built and gained a lot of fat because I was sedentary for 2.5 months to heal correctly.

Shortly after my doctor cleared me to work out again, I went vegan. That means the body you see today-I rebuilt it on 100% plant-based foods and hard work! Not only did I rebuild all the progress I had lost, but now I’m also stronger, faster, and better conditioned than I was pre-injury while eating meat.

I stand here today to tell you that we DON’T need to eat animals to be muscular! I’m walking proof of this. My mission is to lead by example, show others how I did it, and never stop striving for more! That’s a promise. The animals, the planet, and our health deserve better.
